BIGGA is dedicated to the continuing professional development of its members and in serving their needs will strive through education and training for standards of excellence in golf course management throughout the greenkeeping profession. The Central Section are committed to achieving this mission at a local level.

1. Provide opportunities and support that enable our members to achieve career success.
2. Contribute to golf facility success by providing relevant continuing education and information.
3. Encourage constructive communication between all our members from apprentice to course manager.
4. Research and identify the local needs of our members and develop strategies accordingly.
5. To increase overall awareness and understanding of the association and the greenkeeping profession.
